Ashwagandha’, or the ‘Indian Ginseng’, is a shrub found in India. It has been and still is used in the treatment of many health disorders. In Ayurveda, Ashwagandha is considered as one of the most important herbs that has a very wide range of medicinal values. Such is the power of Ashwagandha!

The name ‘Ashwagandha’ in Sanskrit means ‘smelling like a horse’. It is the root that has the smell of a horse. This shrub bears yellow flower and a fruit which resembles berry. Ayurveda considers this herb as an adaptogenic – that which rejuvenates the body. It stimulates the immune system and improves the memory.

Ashwagandha acts as anti-inflammatory agent on arthritis and for other pains. Stress is the major cause for certain health disorders such as arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, headaches, insomnia, and premature graying.
