Curing Excess Sweating with Ayurvedic Treatment

Sweating is normal and natural way to expel toxins from the body through the skin. However, excessive sweating is a cause of worry. Ashwagandha: If you are sweating excessively due to stress, anxiety, and tension, you can use this herb to cure you from certain emotional imbalance.

Sage: It helps in calming the nerve fibers that produces sweat. The decoction of sage leaves is very beneficial for suppressing perspiration. Add four tablespoon of sage leaves to two cups of water and boil it for about five minutes. Drink this after straining every morning. Sage can also be used in combination with the herbs like horsetail and valerian.

Horsetail: This herb is primarily used as a diuretic. It stimulates a better flow of urine and flushes out all the infections from the bladder without affecting the body. This is a help in curing excessive sweating.

Valerian roots: It is very useful in reducing the stress and anxiety. Ayurveda research shows that the extracts from its root will help a person to have an undisturbed sleep for prolonged period. Excessive sweat can also cause due to lack of sleep, stress, and anxiety.

Astragulus: Commonly known as shatavari is a better herb, especially for women. It takes care of all the health problems of women. Excess sweating can also be caused due to menopause. This herb helps in reducing and curing excess sweating and balances it.

White Peony root: White peony is a beautiful flower. The root of this plant is beneficial in treating abdominal pain, irregular mensus, and excess sweat in the night.

Schisandra berry: It has an astringent property that helps in reducing excess sweat in the night. It also reduces tiredness and sleep disturbances.

Terminalia Arjuna is a Medicine for Many Ailments

Terminalia Arjuna is an Ayurvedic plant that has a wide range of medicinal values. The huge Arjuna tree (up to 27 m in height) is native to India. This plant has a great role in treating many ailments very effectively.

Ayurveda research says that Terminalia Arjuna, also called Arjuna Myrobalan, is an effective medicine for reducing the pain of angina. It is also useful in treating all kind of heart problems and coronary artery disease. The extract from its bark has the property to increase the coronary artery flow and protects cardiac tissue against ischemic damage.

Arjuna plant is a good tonic for heart. It takes care of all the problems related to the heart. It is used for blood thinning. Its bark contains phyto-chemicals that helps in lowering the LDL which is bad cholesterol in the blood. It helps in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. It also regulates the pumping function of the heart. It has been found that powdered extract of the Arjuna plant is very effective for the treatment of coronary heart diseases.

Arjuna plant has medicinal value that is useful in treating respiratory tract problems. It cures fever and the cough that accompanies cold and fever. The extract from its tender leaves helps in curing ear pain. It can be taken along with rice water, red sandalwood and a little sugar. It is very effective in stopping the blood and heals the ulcer. The suggested method is to take its powdered bark with milk or prepare infusion in hot water using just one teaspoon of this powder and drink it to cure asthma.

Arjuna is a good appetizer. It improves the function of digestive system. Intake of 15 to 30 grams of its bark’s decoction can give relief from diarrhea and dysentery. This plant is used for the treatment of piles and other stomach related problems.

Arjuna is diuretic taken to flush out the small stones formed in the kidneys. Boil its bark in water and drink this after straining. This helps in breaking the stones into smaller pieces and expels out of the body. Terminalia Arjuna plant is also beneficial for the people suffering from jaundice.

Arjuna reduces the high blood pressure or hypertension. According to Ayurveda research, this plant is also very useful in curing any kind of wound or pain caused due to falls. Its astringent property is useful in treating skin problems like acne. Apply the paste of its bark along with honey on the acnes to get cured from it.

Other benefits of Arjuna plant are it helps in reducing blood sugar, protects against gastric ulcers, and improves sexual health by giving relief from spermatorrhea. Drink the decoction of Arjuna bark along with sandal. It also helps in treating sexually transmitted disease like gonorrhea. Women can benefit from this plant by getting relieve from excessive menstrual bleeding and cures leucorrhea.

Overdose of Terminalia Arjuna plant can cause some harmful side effects. Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to know the exact dose to be taken.
