Ayurvedic Herbs for Curing Motion Sickness
By Sunil
Motion sickness is also known as ‘travel sickness’. Some people are uncomfortable and feel nauseated while traveling on road, sea, or air. This happens when there is a conflict between the inner ear, eyes, and the body.
For instance, when a person travels in a vehicle with no windows, especially in the cabin of a ship, he or she will not be able to see the ship moving but can sense motion. The eyes tell the brain that it is motionless; however, the inner ear and the body tell the brain that the vehicle is moving. This causes confusion in the brain and the person experiences pale face, dizziness, cold sweats, dehydration, headache, fatigue, nausea, and often vomiting.
Motion sickness is not a serious health problem and it does not require any serious treatment. However, it can irritate the person at the time of traveling. Not only adults, even children are prone to motion sickness. Some children gradually outgrow motion sickness, while others continue to suffer throughout their lives.
