Ayurvedic Herbs for Treating Constipation

Ayurvedic herbs are useful for all sorts of health problems including constipation. Constipation is a health condition where it becomes difficulty for a person to pass stools. Eliminating the wastes of the digestive tract early in the morning is a healthy habit that should be followed as a routine work. However, some people suffering from constipation find difficulty in eliminating the waste of the digestive tract completely. It can be very painful and irritating while passing stool.

1. Drink eight or ten glasses of water daily.
2. Drink lime juice by adding salt as first thing in the morning.
3. Drink a glass of warm milk at bed time.
4. Avoid eating belly full. It will help your digestive system to work properly.
5. Proper chewing of food should be practiced.
6. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables.
7. Eat plenty of salad and other fibrous food.
8. Eat a well-balanced diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetables.
9. Have light dinner two hours before going to bed.
10. Have proper amount of sleep.
11. Exercise regularly.
Bael fruit: The ripe fruit of the bael is an effective laxative. Have this fruit regularly for three months. It is very effective in treating chronic constipation.
Cassia: The ripe fruit of the cassia tree is an effective laxative in treating constipation. It is safe to consume for children and pregnant woman.
Castor: The oil of this Ayurvedic herb is used as purgative. It helps in flushing out all the toxins from the body.
Chicory: It has the laxative properties. It is consumed to loosen the stools and cures chronic constipation.
Isphagula: The best way is to soak the seed of this Ayurvedic herb in water and consume it. It makes easier for the person to pass the accumulated waste out of the body.
Constipation can be very irritable. These Ayurvedic herbs can help in treating chronic constipation. However, for better results, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner if you are not getting relief from chronic constipation that could be the cause of some other health disorders.
